Eventide on stage again!

February 26th, 2014

It’s been more than 5 years since our last gig and we really hadn’t planned to do any live shows before the new album but when our friends in Degradead asked us to support them at Göta Källare we couldn’t resist.
We will play between 19.00-19.30 and it will be a short set of 6 songs including one or two songs from The Beast and the Machine and maybe even the new song Achenar. Who knows…

See you there?!

It seems our microphone investments are paying off big time! The drum sound is turning out absolutely amazing! No triggers our sound replacing going on. Just pure and true acoustic, punchy drum sound from hell!!

Song title and info!

October 26th, 2013

We’ve booked JV Studios on the 9th and 10th of november for drum recording on the Elemental Nightmares track.

I was up late last night writing some more riffs and melodies for the track. This song is turning out to be quite an epic track spanning over more than 8 minutes.
The title for the song is ‘Achenar’ and it will be a good indicator for our “new” sound, so be sure to keep your eyes and ears open!

Elemental Nightmares

August 9th, 2013

A new exclusive Eventide song to be released on
a unique underground vinyl collection!

My old friend Fredrik Huldtgren, vocalist of the band Canopy, has started this exciting new vinyl project.

“Elemental Nightmares is a vinyl collection consisting of 13 7″ vinyl splits. When you purchase this collection, you will get two 7″ vinyl splits sent out to you every month, for six months. The 13 vinyls consist of exclusive songs from 26 different bands! In addition, when placed side by side, the artwork for each split combines into one large piece of art. Elemental nightmares is
a type of art that has never been done before! The collection is limited to 300 copies and will be hand numbered.”

You can either purchase the complete vinyl collection for 70€
or download a digital version for only 25€!

Remember, this Eventide song will not be released anywhere else,
so hurry up and pre-order your copy!

The old studio equipment all set up and ready for some serious songwriting / preproding at my house. We are super excited to get this thing going and we have a whole bunch of ideas, riffs, acoustic parts and also a couple of songs that are almost finished.

Stay tuned!

January 20th, 2013

This past year Max and I have taken a deep look within ourselves and found that Eventide will never stop flowing in our blood and no matter how hard we try to deny it, it is always there under the surface, waiting to erupt. Eventide is and has been such a big part of our existence for almost 15 years now and eventhough we’ve never reached some kind of commercial recognition, we still have alot of hardcore fans scattered across the globe that truly love our music and that is what really matters.

We feel that, since the beginning of the millenium, melodic death metal has gone in the wrong direction or perhaps even ceased to exist? So therefor we aim to go back to our roots and the melodic death metal that Eventide was all about in the first place.
We are aiming for the glory of an era that sadly has come to pass and we no longer want to take part in the demise of our beloved genre.

Stay tuned for more info shortly. You can also follow us on Facebook

In a couple of weeks the Eventide EP from 2005, No Place Darker, will be released on Spotify, Itunes, AmazonMp3 and some other sites! It will contain a couple of “b-sides”, meaning songs that never made it to Diaries from the Gallows. So stay tuned the “new” release, but remember that it was written almost a decade ago! The track list will be as follows:

1. No Place Darker, 2. Indifferent, 3. My Closest Demon, 4. New Reality, 5. Arms Of Silence
